"Where would we even go?" Castiel laughed.
Dean just smiled, "Anywhere. Where do you want to go? I'll take you! I don't care about the expenses. I love you."
Castiel wet his lips, his fingers pressed against the Winchester's cheek, "Take me to neverland."

At this point he didn't want anything to change, but he usually didn't get what he wished for. That night everything changed. He knew he shouldn't have gone to that dinner, but that doesn't mean he regret it. He met his best friend that night, a best friend he might be falling for. "Cas, it's not going to break." Dean, just to prove it, stomps once, twice, three times against the ice. He even slams both feet down against it just for good measure, laughing when his foot slips and he crashes to the ice. "Dean!" Cas yelps, tears welling in his eyes and hands reaching for Dean. "Cas, I'm fine," Dean assures, moving to stand, eyes locked on Cas. Then the ice breaks, and Dean falls through. The last thing he sees is Cas' horrified face, helpless to stop him from falling before the cold hits him, stabbing the air from his lungs with fingers like knives and stealing every thought in his brain. He was pulled from the water that day, but later, he would remember the exhilaration of the ride and the joy of the laughter and the fear of the fall and the cold of the water, and he would think that that's what loving Cas has always felt like. A constant back and forth of laughter and cold, of warmth and sickness, of love and hate. Loving Cas has never been easy, but falling for him has always been the easiest thing in the world.Concluída

The choice had been easy. It hadn't even been a choice, really. He had everything planned out in his head, the materials he'd need, the words he had to learn, the silent goodbyes he had to say. Everything had gone according to plan, the candles placed in a circle throwing their flickering light on the walls of his room at the bunker, illuminating the marks that had appeared on his body as he recited the words, marking him as a soul worthy and willing to sacrifice its light for the life of many. He had not planned for the door to burst open suddenly, pushed so forcefully it slammed against the wall, the rush of air blowing out some of the nearer candles and bathing the corners in darkness. He hadn't planned for Dean to stand in the doorway, his expression a mixture of worry, disbelief and anger. He hadn't planned for his heart to constrict quite so painfully at the sight of those green eyes staring at him, so hurt as they took in Cas' surroundings, so desperate and accusatory as they met Cas' own. ~oOo~ Or the one where Dean and Cas are self-sacrificing idiots, forcing them to finally use their words and admit some truths.Concluída

Dean wasn't exactly sure how he'd ended up here. Three hours earlier, his evening had been perfectly ordinary. No bars, no walls, no furious angels, certainly no horny douchebags. Okay, maybe one horny douchebag. But that had been Dean himself, so that was fine. Yeah, so, it had been one of those evenings. When it was just too much, that feeling inside him, that nagging, longing, craving of something (someone) he didn't dare put a name to. His family was decimated by a group of vampires and since then, he swore he would do everything he could to wipe the world from this disease. He trained to exhaustion and became the best vampire hunter, but even then, one kept getting away. Dean abandoned the "Winchester" name a long time ago, right after he got turned into the vampire he is today. After learning his own family saw him as a monster, he decided to embrace his new nature and rely on his instincts. When he wasn't hunting, Dean liked to mess around and try to have some fun. Sometimes, that included teasing around a hunter who was crazy to end him. They both mess with the wrong person and now, because of a spell gone wrong, can't stay away from each other. Chaos ensues.
