As she connected with the earth, she couldn't feel the pain anymore, and her eyes were fixed on her child. When she fidgeted, the mother was relieved.

The blood had seeped through the fabric in her shirt and pooled around her, "Please don't take my sunshine...away.." Her last words were croaked out as her world faded to black.

Kohei Hirikoshi is the creator and I take no credit for his story, I write for the fan's entertainment, and note that 50 of the views on this story are all from me because I reread it for edits a lot. Know that this read is very similar to the anime. The art on the cover is not mine.

Although, her mother's sacrifice was inspired by Christina Simoes, who jumped from a 3rd story building with her son in her arms, her baby was fine apart from scratches but she had severe injuries to her back, and she still lived. This woman is a true hero.
