"It's not that easy being friends with someone who is arrogant and cocky, especially when you find out they're your future master. Not to mention the color difference."

In the early 1800s, any type of relationship between a black and a white was seen as disgusting, unless it was a master rebuking his slave. This is what Camille has been aware of ever since she started picking in the fields with her mother. However, an incident involved with one of the master's sons turns her whole world upside down. And NOT in the good way. He's annoying, has SUCH a huge ego, and won't leave her alone! But when she is forced to leave one day and returns several years later, she sees a change in him. Which is still bad...right?

On top of that, a sweet good-looking slave boy named Robert begins to have feelings for her and for some reason, though she doesn't know
why, this creates tension between the two males. Now she hears she will have to become a certain boy's personal slave. Poor Camille! How on Earth will she make it through this crazy arena called life?

**Love/hate relationship and love triangle! Who will win??**
