"It's always been you, Niklaus!" I cried at his retreating back, tears streaming down my pale cheeks. "It was always you." I repeated in a whisper. "Why can you not see that anymore?"
Klaus' footsteps faultered and he spun around harshly to face me. "Because you're destined to forget me!" He shouted. "How much heartbreak do think I can endure before it's too much?" He took a few steps closer, subtle tears shining slightly in his eyes. "I can not allow you to hold that much power over me, Aleysia."

I knelt down next to his body. I can't get the last 10 seconds out of my mind. I finally found him, just so I can lose him again. I shook my head as tears streamed down my face. "You can't be dead. My breath got caught in my throat as I started gasping for air. I can't do this. I stood by their side from the beginning. I always put them before me.
