Confined to a cell a volunteer awaits further instructions whilst slowly losing their grip on reality and exploring the dark depths of the human psyche.
Homage to the Edgar Allen Poe/H P Lovecraft style 'message in a bottle' or 'found account' tale. Written under conditions of extreme boredom on my part so that atop the 'weird' narrative lies a flimsy veil of my own experience of creating this story. Please enjoy and critique.

Nightmare Walk With Me: A Horror Anthology

3 parts Ongoing Mature

Step carefully, dear reader, for the path before you is not one of comfort or safety. This is a journey into the unknown-a walk through the shadowed recesses of the mind, where nightmares dwell and reality contorts. There are no maps for this terrain, no guides to see you through. What you will find here are whispers of dread, echoes of the uncanny, and stories that crawl beneath the skin and linger in the dark corners of your soul. I invite you now to take this walk with me. But beware: once you step onto this path, there is no turning back. Your fears will take shape, your mind itself may betray you, and your footing-if you lose it-could lead you to places no light has ever touched. This is not just a collection of tales. This is your journey. This is your invitation to take the walk with me. If at any point you feel unyielding terror, a sense of daunting dread, or simply feel afraid, just remember... we warned you.
