But also teaching her new lessons through people she thought were closest to her heart and people she had never thought would be anywhere near her heart like Jackson Durkins, the hockey player with anger issues who'd she'd hook up with when she'd need an escape. Or when he needed an escape. That's all they thought they were to each other, a quick escape at times and nothing more, but it was much more than that.
