That's my son! Let go of me." Owen broke free and ran toward Vader. Vader turned just as Owen reached him, grabbing him with the Force by his neck and lifting Owen above him. Vader recognized him. "You!" Vader yelled. Something within Vader caused him to look back at the boy, and then to both Owen and Beru. There was no way that boy was theirs. There was no similarity. "You lie!"

He took a minute to look at her, really look. She was visibly aging, and you could see it if you took the time to look in all the right places. Her baby fat was all gone and only the hard shape of her face remained. Her skin between her eyebrows seemed scrunched and tight. But the thing that really struck him was her eyes. They were the eyes of a survivor. A fighter. And in them told a story. The story of how the world came to be as it is now.

Specific story warnings at the beginnings of each chapter, but the biggest one is an ongoing theme of overcoming child abuse (though it is not explicit and not talked about often past the first couple of chapters) so I would like to share some resources: Abuse of any kind is never okay.
