William Wood knows the feeling of being alone. He left his parents when he was young to show that he could survive by himself out in the big world. And he did. But soon he got with the wrong kind of people. Guns. Women. Money. Gambling. Robbing. But all of that stopped when he got a telegram saying his parents had died and they left their cabin to their only son. After arriving at the cabin, four months later he was attacked by a bear. Now even the thought of companionship sounds impossible. Sure he has his dog, Fred, but he wants to have a wife and maybe children. But who could love a scarred man to quiet to even talk to his dog?
