Because not only are the dæmons out to get her, but the Næsency are kidnapping people like her. However, when she finds a boy getting attacked by a dæmon, she pushes her safety aside and saves him. Now that she has both the dæmons and the Næscency hunting her, she's not sure she would be able to survive.
As love forms, relationships broken and secrets unfold, Helia finds herself in a mess bigger than she expected it to be.
