Billie Anderson's life was doing perfectly fine until her mom decided to move to America, where she eventually planned to get married. Not just to anyone, but to her new school's heart throb, Riley Fisher.
She decides to support her mother and be happy for her.

When the groom goes missing on their wedding day, suspicion falls on everyone and she's asked to befriend Riley and find out what he might know about the case.
He's a colourful problem. He knows he looks good and knows how to use those looks, and those hands. Billie knows he can't crack her, but she also knows how she's starting to feel about him.

But when secrets start getting shared and close gets too close, feelings start to erupt, she's starting to think she might be in love with him and can't imagine giving him out to the cops.
