"I said get out of my house!" He yells, venom dripping from his words. He is still on the call. And I think whoever he is talking to is instructing him.

"I can't leave my kids," she replies, her voice cracking and eyes tearing up. She storms into my room, looking lost.

She sits on my bed, holding her head in her hands.

I can still hear my dad yelling in the background.

"Mummy," I call out, fear and pain evident in my voice. "Please just go. Before he hurts you or anyone."

She sniffs, and after a lot of thought stands up. "I'm sorry."

With that she left my room.

"Bye-bye mummy."
