Rika Sunaki has always lived in her sister, Sakya Sunaki's, shadow. No matter what it was her elder sister seemed ti conquer it, while she just seemed to barely get by. That's why when it was time for Rika's first year of high school she made to choice to escape from her sister's shadow. Instead of going to the all-girls school of Samezuka Academy like her big sister, Rika decides to go to Iwatobi High School. She's been able to keep a low profile, that is, until a spunky blonde keeps following her around. Sound familiar? It wasn't until the constant pestering from the young blonde did Rika finally give in to what she wanted, and what she wanted was for Rika to join the new girls swim team. It was through this decision that Rika encounters Rei Ryugazaki, a man that has an eye for things that are beautiful.
