"It's just, James Potter!" says Sirius, leaning casually back in his chair, "Beaten by a girl!"

"So you're back?" he smiles knowingly at her from the hospital wing bed.

Hogwarts. The year, 1976. Before Harry Potter. Before Voldemort was defeated. Before the Second Wizarding War. Before the Marauders, Lily Evans, Severus Snape and so many others had died. This is back in the school days, where life may be seen as simple, yet growing increasingly complicated, choosing paths that will change their future. Choosing their sides. And not all will be on the same side.

This is my take on what could have happened during the time of the Marauders, Lily, Marlene , Alice and Snape. Watch out for mystery, arguments, unrequited love and choices that can make or break relationships during the fifth year of Hogwarts for these characters.

I have tried to connect my head canons with the little we have about the Marauders. This is my first ever book so any comments, votes or ideas to improve are greatly appreciated.

I really like them and apparently lots of other people do to so I decided to write one because their is not many. The story line is going to get badly messed up. Many knew him because of his outstanding Quidditch skills, most because of his infatuation with Lily Evans, but everyone knew he was a key member of the infamous Marauders that tormented the castle on a daily basis. No one really understood how a chap as charming as James Potter would end up falling in love with Alexis Riddle, a renowned name in her own right, for being Lord Voldemort's little sister that is. James and Lily are finally civil but Lily finds herself feeling something more that she can't keep denying. Meanwhile, a new arrival in school has easily made friends with all her fellow Gryffindors... except Marlene: determined to befriend the newbie, Marlene insists on spending more and more time with her.
