After the 4th Shinobi War, all the fears of the aftermath came crashing all too heavily to those who have survived. Even after more than a little over three years, with the Village of Konoha, nearing its full restoration, there are still issues commencing here and there, that includes some slight disagreements between the Allied Shinobi Forces. But with the both fear and respect towards the hero of the battle, Naruto, everything always ended up ironed out. And Kakashi Hatake could never ever get his head wrap around how blessed all of them are by merely the fact Naruto exists. His feelings toward Naruto that have been pushed back deeply before and during the war are of a Nadifferent story though, now that the world is peaceful and he has the time to ponder on them. Especially when Naruto himself seeks for any familiarity that he boldly proposes the sensei can only provide. She almost wanted to just give up at this point, but so many people had died, so many had given their lives that she had no option to lose or give up. She had to fight. All she had left were Kakashi, Sakura, and Sasuke, and even they were worn to the bone. Anyone could see. So when they die in the last fight of the war, she doesn't know what to do with herself. And the cryptic message one of them passed along isn't helping either.

During a mission in the Land of Iron, Kakashi, Obito, Rin and Minato find themselves crossing paths with a girl no more than two years younger than the three children. It is no surprise that this young girl named Setsuko arrives in The Village Hidden in the Leaves with Team Minato and surprises even the Third Hokage with her long black hair, dark blue eyes, a ghostly white-- almost transparent complexion and a kimono of the same color as snow. Of course, no one really believes that Setsuko could actually be what she could be suspected of being: A Yuki-musume. But in a world where mysteries are meant to be kept, how can anyone say that the ethereal races of the yōkai are non-existent? As Rin, Obito and Kakashi teach her about everything there is to know about living in the village, the silver-haired young boy finds himself intrigued by basically everything relating to Setsuko. Although, with all of the fear Setsuko has always bottled up inside of her, it would sound much easier to befriend her than to actually be able to do it.

Set post 4th Shinobi War. Kakashi is 10 months into his new role as Rokudaime Hokage. Seeing the changes in the new generation shinobi, he wonders if he is deserving of more than life granted him thus far. They hadn't seen each other in a long time, when they meet a lot of memories and emotions that had been locked away over the years come to surfice.

And for a while it looked as if his vision had become true. The Sand and the Rain had become their closest ally whereas the Rock, the Cloud and the Mist remained neutral towards the Leaf. It wasn't perfect but it was good. And during all of that Kakashi greatest wish had become true. He had been finally reunited with his students, his family. But what happens when an enemy rises again? One they had thought of being gone a long time ago? Decisions have to be made, morals have to be betrayed and old wounds have to be opened again. And perhaps Kakashi realises that he has a new dream. A new goal that he will give his everything. ATTENTION! This is a sequel to my other story Atonement! The Fourth Hokage's body was never found, but they never suspected that was because he hadn't died. Minato Namikaze wakes up six years after the devastating Kyuubi attack, alone in an overgrown clearing with not a scratch on him. Disoriented and confused, he does exactly what any father would do in this situation. He fights through the pain, gets up, and goes to find his son. He trudges through the pounding in his head and forces himself to move-- to go and find him, because that masked man was still out there, and Minato is willing to do anything to protect his little ball of sunshine. Needless to say, the blonde kage wasn't expecting so much time to have passed. Nor is he very impressed with the way the village has been treating his son all these years.
