"Two people, one who fights for freedom and one who maintains it, embark on a journey to better days."

Treaty of Paris ended the Spanish colonization in the Philippines. America granted Cuba their independence but held the Philippines due to fear of Germany and Japan taking over.

Major Brent Adler, a member of the US Army, was sent by the US government as one of the major officers to supervise the newly acquired country. He wanted his transfer to be smooth, but unfortunately, he met this woman selling bread.

Two different people with different goals. They may have the same journey, but will fate let them walk on the same path if they have different destinations?
