Caroline is counting down the days when she can get out of her town to go to film school and finally be herself. Even though her classmates of 17 years still don't all know her name, she continues to answer to Cara or Cassidy, not correcting them or telling them it's Caroline unless specifically asked. It's painfully embarrassing to her, but the alternative, speaking out about herself or her thoughts, is worse at this point. Though she's a top student at school, she knows just how far to go to avoid getting awards that require having to walk up on stage. So when Aidan Eddwal's the charismatic, goofy, and not-afraid-to-call-it-like-he-see's-it guy forces her to talk, everyone notices, and not in a good way.
