He couldn't forgive himself for being so weak and for all of the things he has done. He slipped up one time, but that was it. No more. He won't show his weakness. He won't show any sign of his trouble. He has caused too many problems and he is going to get out of all of his problems on his own. As he gets over his trauma by himself, he starts to build a solid foundation/relationship with Kirishima, the only person he loves.
