The Warner's are sent to the Mcduck Mansion as they await to be officially adopted by their role models.

I would consider this an au.

The Warner's are a race called toons. In this au toons are created by people for the sake of entertainment.

Unfortunately toons lack equal rights. Their creators decide the fate of their creations.

In order for this au to make more sense, humans don't exist.

For example Plotz is a pig.

And Yosemite Sam is a ferret.
