"J-James," I carry forward in response but stop myself before I make an even bigger fool of myself.
I make my way off the couch, and drag my Godric heavy feet off the ground, my heart cramping every step as I hear him sniffling just eight feet behind me.
"I can't do this anymore James," and with that, I exit the common room and make my way -sobbing with all the restraint I can- to the girls' dormitory.
"Yeah, he asked me out yesterday. Fairest day of my life. Think about it, molls! 'Lily Potter'," I hear from the farthest corner of the room.

"I'm sorry, I just... remembered something," she muttered as her fingers traced the scars on her throat.
