the combination of beauty and love is a catastrophic force, but the children of it are taken for granted. piper, a legendary sixteen year old assassin living the grandiose city life, doesn't know what or who she is. In truth, she'd rather not think about it. piper is just fine with the one thing she knows: murder, a form of beauty that most will never understand. but when piper is sent on an assignment to kill some goats and strange teenagers that hit too close to home, she'll have to face both her origins and her future, and what they've turned her into.
