He is also the lover of Hakari (light) and Yami (darkness). See y/n didn't take sides when Ozma (female opzin) died and Salem begged Hakari to revive Ozma. In the end Hakari denied salem's request in desperation Salem's only hope was Yami.
Yami accepted Salem's request and revived Ozma but right after Hakari sent Ozma back to the after life. They kept killing and reviving before stepped Y/n stepped in. This is the story of Y/n effects the world of rwby.
