Life's not been too great for Sam. His dad left when he was 9, his family's broke, and he's not exactly the most popular guy around. So when he helps out one of the few friends he does have, it, of course, ends him up in prison. Confused and worried shitless, he's positive he won't last a week in there. That is, until, he meets his new cellmate - Noah Parker. Tall and charming, with the good looks to top it off, his bad boy demeanour is what draws Sam in; but he soon realises that Noah has plans, and he isn't staying behind bars for much longer. Snakeskin McMurtry was a deadly gunfighter who hated killing. The last thing he wanted was trouble, but trouble always seemed to find him. Whether it was family, promises he had to keep, or posses, he always seemed to end up in a gunfight. He figured that if he got enough money to buy a big ranch, he could get out of going on the posses anyway. The ways he got the money weren't quite legal and were always dangerous. And that meant more trouble. Then there was the girl. She was the one for him all right. They both knew it. She was a ranch woman with brains, character, beauty and plenty of sand. She saved him more than once. But. She could not stand the idea of loosing another man in a gunfight. She wanted him to give up his ranch, move east, and become a counter jumper! He couldn't do that. Because of what happened to him when he was a kid, he couldn't take a sissy job. Then things got worse. A mad range war threatened and a gang of outlaws with a grudge showed up. They needed to think, and move fast if they didn't want to loose everything including their lives.Terminé
Flight
Feelings ranging from love to greed are shared between people. People whose attitudes and lives vary greatly. An easy going guy, who when he has no company isn't alone, always seems to find himself working with "bad guys." A detective who truly cares for her city, but can't escape her relation to "bad guys" and the detective's old friend who's beginning to pull herself into a situation where the love for herself, her father, and her old friend are being pitted against each other. "We're fugitives, on the run!" Ashley practically yelled for the whole world to hear as we tried to outrun the police. Stupid, I know, but guess who suggested it? The same person who was yelling that we should hide underground until the world ends. "Ashley this is dumb, we need to get out of here," I exclaimed frenzy, and butterflies wondering about in my body. "Really? Dumb? It's pretty damn smart if we don't want to go to jail!"
