Emily Greens has always admired the most popular boy in high school, Travis Black. After mustering the courage to approach him, her life takes an unexpected turn. Sneak β™‘β™₯︎ Peak ~~~~~~~ "So... what's up?" he asks, leaning casually against the wall, like this is just another Friday. My heart hammers in my chest. I take a deep breath. "I, um, I just wanted to tell you... I like you. A lot. And I'd really like to get to know you, you know, if you're okay with that." The words come out so fast I barely understand them myself. There's a moment of silence before he chuckles softly. "What's your name again?" "Emily," I squeak. "My name's Emily." "Well, Emily, I don't like you. But hey, you're cute, so there's that." He grins. "Oh, and thanks for watching the match." And just like that, he walks away, leaving me standing there with my heart shattered into a million pieces. The only upside? Tomorrow is Saturday, and I'm officially dead. NOTE !: This story includes themes of bullying, strong language, and violence. Please be aware that all events depicted are fictional.
