And Spyro was trying to remember something in his dream and trying to stop it, preventing in Skylands. Now it's up to Snap Shot, Wallop, Jawbreaker, Wildfire, Gearshift, Krypt King, Gusto, Lob Star, Bushwhack, Head Rush, Ka-Boom, Blastermind, Tuff Luck, Knight Mare, Knight Light, Thunderbolt, Short Cut, Enigma (along with Peach Rabbid, and Beep-0) and the rest of the gang to find and capture them. The D-team; Nina, Zoran, Camo, Zap, Echo, and Sunburn were excited to give presents, but Nina and Zoran had no plan on what to give presents for their parents. So they use Jet-Vac's time disruptor to travel back in time with the help of their friends to find the best gift. But their time travel has caused something to change which causes the butterfly effect to change the future of their Skylanders' past. Now it's up to them to fix the future before they disappear and will no longer exist in a new timeline.

Skylands was now peaceful with no evil machines or darkness trying to take over the world. Spyro and his friends were introduced to the person who owns a festival on Halloween. But today on Halloween, the owner will be introducing them to the new animatronic that will make the festival more entertainment. And the new animatronic are the Upgraders. And Spyro's friends don't appreciate the owner of the festival for using the Upgraders as the animatronic. And so did Spyro because he's not very too well with Formeleon, Silther's Cyber-Dragon, after everything he did. But his childrens, Nina and Zoran, were excited their first time on Halloween and going to the festival but Spyro was worried that Formeleon might be alive just as when something went wrong and the owner was saying it was just a glitch. Was it a glitch or not? Or one of the animatronic came back alive and seeking revenge on the Skylanders. This is the Halloween Special, that will bring back the nightmare.
