Madara is losing the war. His options are quickly being taken away. He does have one more trick up his sleeve, he could set in motion his reverse time justu. The down side though he can't really control just how far back time will take him, and he's unsure weather he'll have his memory, or if anyone will be able to remember.
In my story Naruto and Hinata were already dating by the time the war started.
