I heard a door to my right creak open. It was followed by footsteps that go louder and louder until there was a man hovering over me. He was bald with a massive scar running right through his left eye.
"Hello Melanie, I am happy to see you awake. I need to discuss a deal with you.” His voice was calm, " we know you have powers. We want you to join us and use your powers to fight against the superheroes of the world."
I did not want to do it. Who would? I was about to say no when he interrupted me,
“We have your parents. If you say no you will never see them again.”
I had to think of a plan. “If I say yes,” I thought to myself, “then I can save my family and never have to use my powers for evil.“OK,” I told him, ” I will do it."
