I was down the hill and passed the pond before the Hayes and Lincoln guys could manage to react, Mathis was fast, though. Ducking down, I listened to them talk in the bushes, stepping over a few branches so I wouldn't make a sound.

"I-I can't see them, Matty. I just can't. I don't want to work for them anymore. I'd rather my parents be disappointed than work there. I-I'm sorry."

"Want me to bring him back?" I leaned against the tree once he was out of her sight, Mathis jumping as I smirked and sized her up, "I don't mind. It'll just be fun to hunt him."

She backed up at my eyes dilating, my canines sharpening, "F-Fuck off."

"Calm your panties," I rolled my eyes, pressing my boot against the tree and tying it, "I have no interest in you at the moment. Do ya want your friend back or not?"

"If you can track him and tell us his location that'd be very kind of you," Ryker spoke from behind me as I tied my other boot, "Just take this tracker."

"Don't insult me with an 'if'," I growled, catching it and then flashing my pearly whites with a cocky little purr of my voice, "Just for that he gets a twenty minute head start, makes it more fun for me anyway."
