Somewhere to the south of Japan, there is a soliditary island at sea, home to over 3 million residents with nowhere else to go. These people are cast out - known as freaks globally. They are part of the human species that have evolved. Changed. The world doesn't adapt nicely to change, so out of concern, the evolved humans have been separated and closed off from the rest of the world.
You may be wondering... what makes them different to everyone else? Well... it's because of their abnormalities. Both physical and mental. Some you can spot at first glance, and some hidden underneath. Superhuman abilities, physical abnormalities...

Stuck on this island, we are split into zones. We cannot interact with another zone, we cannot leave our zone, we are constantly patrolled by guards. I feel pressured everywhere I go. They think we might try and escape with every small opportunity we can get. I feel like a criminal. I've never seen the world outside of this island. And I never thought I would...

Niko and Yukio have spent their whole life growing up together in Zone 6. There are many restrictions and barely any freedom. Niko has learnt to accept her Island life, but Yukio still hasn't lost hope that someday something might change.

And something does change. Something big.

As the school year goes on, Miri slowly attracts the attention of not only the boy she's supposed to keep an eye on, but as well as some extremely dangerous people. [Male Reader x My Hero Academia] The advent of Quirks changed society fundamentally. It was the birth of a child in Qing Qing City, China that nearly brought about the end of civilization as it was known. 'Meta Abilities.' Abilities that held the potential for great good, but inevitably great evil. Human nature quickly bore its ugly head, as it always did. Those with the power to act, and with the proclivity towards criminal activity, quickly viewed their new gifts as an opportunity to exploit the weak. Even while remaining the minority of the world's population, the onslaught of Villains came close to destroying society... Almost a century later and the world remains alive and breathing, and Humanity is thriving. Normal people with their own Quirks, those who refused to allow their friends and family to get taken advantage of, rose up against the tyranny of Villains. Vigilantes quickly became world-renowned Heroes and the tides were turned. Problems remained but peace had been achieved once more, and the world could rest well knowing that Pro-Heroes were around to keep them safe. And yet, this peace could never have lasted forever. The new generations know little of the horrors of the past, unaware that evil remains alive and well. Pro-Heroes are little more than pompous media personalities, with little interest in saving lives, but instead on fame and wealth. A great Villain lies in wait, counting down the days when he can finally seize retribution for what was done to him. However, this time he has a secret weapon. A weapon that could herald the end of all things...

Everything is so weird in this city, I seriously don't know how anyone hasn't noticed the changes in this weird arse place... Actually, this whole world has weirdly changed. I've asked my parents but they just think I'm watching strange conspiracy videos online. The abnormal hair colors, The fast-talking, The weird clothe ripping phenomenon (I mean I don't hate that one too much), How small guys can take out a totally ripped man, And how a single chop to the back of the head can knock someone out cold. I've stopped questioning, and I have just decided to give up on trying to convince anyone else, and now trying to live normally in this place is harder than it looks, I didn't inherit any of those weird 'superpowers' so jeez do I stand out. Also, does no one else notice the weird pink-haired guy who speaks with his mouth shut... Ventriloquist .... No just me OK then, I'll just ignore it like every other thing in my life. But seriously everyone ?! ↬ ↬ ⇴ ⇴ { ✦ ✾ ✦ }⇷ ⇷ ⇺ ⇺ [Original cover picture does not belong to me] [Mature language] This book has been discontinued, I'm working on rewriting it completely, but since people seem to love it, I will keep it up :)
