Kidnapped at six, Shay has lived the last 12 years of her life stuck at a prison full of other kidnapped victims. She's spent her life being pushed around and injected with chemicals. She's never been able to decide what to do with her life, but all that changes as she is reunited with her family. She's determined to forget about her past and move on, creating a new life for herself, but she can't seem to be able to run away from it all. She's learning more and more about what she is capable of everyday and she's not sure how to deal with any of it. 

Luckily she has Jason by her side, her neighbor who's helping her to learn to control her element powers. Shay doesn't understand a thing thats happening and no one's telling her anything.
