(N.) Something lovely discovered by chance.

Lilith is a normal popular girl, lots of friends smart, pretty. She and her twin brother Jackson live in a small three-bedroom house with their two little siblings, mother, and abusive father. One day after a particularly bad argument with Jackson she runs to the roof. A short girl sits on the edge. Lilith feels her world fall apart.

Mayvern is for the most part a mystery. Quiet and reserved to the general population, but open and happy with her friends. It's a normal Wednesday on the roof when she hears the door open. She stares at the other girl with makeup running and a large bruise blossoming under her jaw. Mayverns heart skips a beat.
