Survival in space was our only option. The dying earth and its sickly inhabitants forced us to flee to the stars. My father, the commander of the elite group chosen to live amongst the stars, brought me along for the journey. And everything was going smoothly until I unexpectedly woke up on a new planet, one with an ethereal glow and an eerie resemblance to our old home as the commander of the military space force, my father tasked his men with exploring this new world. But what they discovered was far from welcoming. This new planet was already inhabited by terrifying creatures, and they were not happy with our presence. His men fought to survive against these beasts, I couldn't help but wonder why they were so hostile towards us. That's when one of them approached me, defying everything we had been warned about. Instead of attacking, it watched me pick flowers before later saving me from a fiery blast. Now it's my turn to save him. Please read the prologue in the beginning before going to Chapter 1. I tried to wriggle my arms and legs but just ended up feeling more exhausted and thirsty. I had a sudden urge to use the restroom but I felt helpless. Pushing off the sink in irritation, I turn to leave but he grabs my bare upper arm. My blood boils in annoyance while my skin tingles with excitement. He perks a brow, obviously sensing it. "Your aura is in disarray," he states bleakly. "Yeah, no shit Sherlock." My Earthly phrase earns me a tilt of his head and I scoff. "Where have you been, Beta?" "On a mission in the Xin Galaxy." "Okay? Would it not be wise to inform your OA of any missions that require your departure? Let go." I pull against his grip and he reluctantly lets go. "Yes, however, this mission did not require your presence nor your opinion," he replies candidly. My eye twitches and wordlessly, I turn away once more but his grip on my arm returns, this time more gentle, as if pleading rather than restraining. "I only meant that this mission did not require you to accompany me as my OA in pretence. It's safer to stay with your younglings out of sight anytime the role is not needed," his voice softer. "You disappeared after you..." I pause and shake my head. I feel embarrassed to say it out loud to him. I feel embarrassed at how much it affected me. I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. New plan: when he gets close, duck under his arms and make a run for it. Now I just have to wait. Before a minute has even passed, another armoured soldier appears and joins the first. This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." "Oh come on Captain," the first soldier whines, "You don't have to fuck her, just train her to be obedient. Surely you can control one measly wild human? You are a captain after all. When you're done, you can just get rid of her, like I do with my humans." What the fuck? For a brief moment my fear is replaced by anger. Who do they think they are, talking about me like I'm some kind of wild animal? "Get the fuck away from me! You freaks!" I screech. The first soldier just flashes an evil grin. They don't budge. My lungs and muscles burned. Everything in my body begging me to stop but I had to keep moving. I had to get away. I rather die than go back to that lab but this building was a maze! Never ending hallways and big metal sliding doors that you see in space movies. All I could hear was the patter of my bare feet, heavy breathing, and my heart beating in my ears. "Hey!!! Stop her!
