Kagome is forced back to her time where she remains for three years and graduates high school. Unknown to her the jewel granted a second wish, to bring Kikyo back to life since she fell at the hands of the jewels evil. Inyuasha choses her to be his mate betraying Kagome, though he did not think that she would return. Sesshomaru has known since he first laid eyes on Kagome that she was his mate, but he wanted to keep up his demon appearance, to proud to admit that his mate was a human priestess. When he finds her in the forest heart broken he will do anything to repair her heart and get revenge on his brother for hurting her. Kagome also learns that by being the mate of Sesshomaru she has become an immortal priestess who will only die when her mate does.
