Gaster is the current royal scientist, set with a mission to break the barrier and free monster-kind from their underground prison. His loyalty and persistence to the task is clear, since he'll make whatever sacrifice necessary to complete it. However, even a perfectionist can be blind to some of their own flaws. Gaster has a habit of pushing things or himself too far. An accident occurs in the lab. Whilst trying to save him; one of his lab assistants, Y/N, gets injured. Burdening himself with even more pressure and guilt to fix it, Gaster thinks that doing all of her work for her will cover up the incident. Still, the sad reality is that the damage can't be undone. Well, Gaster ends up spending more and more time with her. As a result, both of them gain an entirely new perspective of the other, they aren't just another monster in a lab coat anymore. Hey! It's Oreo aka Writer~San! Undertale, it's characters, and it's fanart do not belong to me. However, the story does!!! I hope you enjoy it! (^w^)~

Reader insert. What if W.D Gaster didn't just get split between time and space, but actually ended up in your world in an abandoned hospital you called home? Your were a young child he decided to use as experiments to test human determination in said world and breaks physical laws to test human possibility? He knows of the powers you gained from his experiments... all but one, this one allows you to tear realities just enough to teleport into them. Knowing of Undertale you felt bad for the monsters stuck below in their world and wish to help them, but something goes wrong and you end up going to certain AUs and helping them, gaining the attention of some bad skeletons who now desire your power for them-selfish-selfs.

Not everyone is special enough to know exactly where the Underground's secret entrance is. Not everyone is so special as to accidentally fall into it, either. Of course, that is what the Reader did. They meet the whole gang, and one skeleton in particular stands out from the rest, simply because he's the only one like you. Agh! I'm spoiling the story! Well, if you want to know more, you'll have to read on to find out! As per usual, credit goes to Toby Fox for making Undertale and its characters. Art is not mine, either.
