This is a Transformers fanfic set in my own continuity.

Skybolt is a sentient drone, or Synth, created on Earth who has fairly recently joined the Autobots.  While initially wanting to fight on the front lines, the loss of his mentor, manipulation by Starscream, and reprogramming by Megatron caused him to instead serve as a remote scout. As for the girl...there is more to this autobot leader than meets the eye. She slowly finds herself a new family to surround her with affection she has never had in her life. It is alien to her, just as alien as the autobots themselves. However...that is just what interests her. Especially Optimus Prime.
