What happens when three waitresses in a coastal Australian town try to find love - or avoid it - during a month-long military training exercise involving Australian and American services? Courtney declares the training exercise to be her ticket out of town, and is determined to find a husband. Jen isn't interested, and is cynical about the whole thing. And Alice isn't looking for marriage, either - though Jen believes that if anyone deserves a brief, bittersweet and passionate romantic fling with a visiting officer, it's Alice.

Three women...three stories... You'll be surprised at what can happen in thirty days!

How do you tell your best friend you love them? How do you know they feel the same? How do you stop your heart getting broken in the process? Honestly, in a place, you feel comfortable with the other and just take the risk. You don't unless they are an open book of emotions. Hearts are made to be broken; if it's not by them someone else will break it somehow. This is a situation for two pairs of best friends separated by the decades... In 1950 Corinne goes on a month long trip with her family to the Madison businesses, taking an aching heart with her. Add a slightly secretive father, fainting mother, three brothers with two of them looking to take over the business and a serving girl Elsie, you get a relatively normal posh family. Corinne's childhood friend Callum carries an aching heart while she is away and misses her presence. Him, Corinne and a few others have been clueless about how they have always felt for each other, the others knowing all along. So when the others give him an opportunity, Callum tells Corinne how he feels after a card game threat and a surprise night visit from Corinne. In 2015 being in a military family is hard, which is what Dae and Dustin know first hand. The pair of them have a ridiculous amount of connections, few being known like how Dae's mother served with Dustin's father throughout deployments. Dae had always pushed Dustin away when he wanted to get closer. On the run up to Valentine's day Dustin has a grand plan in which he hopes Dae manages to see how he feels. Presents appear in her locker, her dad gets back from deployment with a companion she was certain was not breathing and then a gift bag which Smoke doesn't react to which makes her suspicious. With your mum being trained as a bomb dog handler that's natural right? Even her dad is in on the plan. Will Dustin leave with the heart he's always wanted or will he get turned away again? Find the answers to these questions in this story!

When nurse Madison Everglow faces the daunting prospect of an arranged marriage if she doesn't have a boyfriend by her upcoming family reunion, she turns to her patient, wounded soldier Miles Cresswell, for help. Miles, recovering from injuries sustained in service, had recently proposed to his girlfriend of nine years, only to discover shocking news that shakes his world. Reluctantly agreeing to Madison's proposal of a fake relationship, they navigate family expectations and surprising emotions that begin to grow between them. As they share intimate moments and Miles's strength inspires Madison, their fake relationship starts feeling increasingly genuine. Madison finds herself drawn to Miles's vulnerability and courage, while Miles begins to see a future that includes more than just duty. Now, Madison must confront her growing feelings for Miles, and Miles must decide if risking his heart again is worth pursuing a love that might be more than just pretend.
