I dried her tears, and her sobbing slowed to a stop. She took a shuddering breath and hugged me tightly. "You promise?" Míreth said quietly. "I promise," I whispered back. I held her tightly. "When I come back, we can live a happy, normal life together. I will come back. Alright?" I hoped the word together would hit a nerve. I did. Míreth pulled back, new tears of hope in her eyes. When they started spilling down her face, I dried them quickly with my shirtsleeve. ~*~*~*~ I do not own any of the Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit characters. 3 women expectantly find themselves in a world they read about in books. They end up helping a company of 13 dwarves and a wizard along with their new friend and father figure, Bilbo Baggins. These women all feel connected to middle earth and don't know why. They each have secrets that they keep from the rest in hopes of them finding out the truth about who they are and why they feel more at home. They all happen to find their real family but one of them learns a powerful secret about them. What is even more complicated is that they fall in love and try to run away because they know that they wont be staying long yet a part of them wants to know what will happen if they give in to their feelings? How will they handle what they are and What will they choose? Will they fight for what they want or will they run away, hurting themselves and the ones they love? This is a fanfic. All of the credit goes to JRR Tolkien and Peter Jackson. I don't own anything except Renee, Katherine and Lilith. Also this is my first fanfic so bare with me. I also got the inspiration from The three women of Durin. Please go and read it because it is absolutely amazing. So enjoy. I will update at least twice a week. Throwback Vol. #1 (Violent Faith)
In light of readers telling me how much they enjoyed the short story collection, "Strange Mutations (one man's trash)", I decided to dig deeper into that old, smelly trash-bin and see what else I could scrounge up. So, readers beware, I will be publishing a slew of old stories under what I decided to call- "The throwback series". I needed to find a way to segregate these stories from my current writing because what's presented here are some rough drafts that spawned from an amateur who was just beginning to dip his toe into the world of literature and didn't have the slightest clue what he was doing. But don't run off!!! As long as you don't expect a bestseller, and keep an open mind, you may be surprised to find something you enjoy about these twisted tales. I do this only because I find it fun to go back as see how much I've grown as a writer from where I started, and only hope you have fun with them as well. Just don't hold it against me. I'll think you'll find a big difference in prose and style if you check out some recent stories under my profile. So first in the Throwback line-up is... Violent Faith. He has his sloppy moments, but if you stick around long enough, he just might surprise you and occasionally knock one out of the park. The title of this novella pretty much covers the plot, so sorry, no description really necessary. I was inspired to write this story after reading Jon Krakauer's novel, "Under the banner of heaven", which was based on true events. My story, however, is completely fictional. It is not meant to be an attack on any certain person or religious group, although it may seem that way at times. I was just having fun. I'm well aware that most Mormons are not psychopaths. It was just a fun theme to play around with. All persons, places, and events are nothing more than my imagination and not to be taken seriously. Bilba Baggins is a bit shy. Okay, she's a LOT shy and when Gandalf shows up and dumps an entire Company of dwarves on her she is decidedly NOT amused.......or capable of speaking to them.....particularly the dark haired one who happens to be a PRINCE. Thanks for that heads up, Gandalf. All she can think is Kili should have a warning sign on him. It could say something like: "Caution: Exposure to KILI could result in side effects including but not limited to - - Incoherent speech - Inability to speak at all - Increased clumsiness - Decrease in brain function In a few cases more serious side effects have been reported including, but not limited, to - - The sudden urge to run off on poorly thought out adventures - Delusions where one believes they are capable of stealing from Trolls and/or dragons In order to limit the risk of developing one or more of these side effects individuals should limit their exposure to KILI to brief bursts of staring or sidelong glances."
