The darkness escaped the sorcerer's hat and has found a new host, Emma Swan. She is the new Dark One, can her family, friend and love bring her back into the light or will they lose her forever? On their quest to bring Emma back into the light they also have to look for Merlin who has the power to do what they want. Their quest takes them to Camelot where they meet new friends, new foes and old acquaintances. Upon their return from Camelot, their memories are gone and Emma has accepted the darkness completely. Can they save Emma?

After an incident with the Dark One, the heroes have to go to the Underworld to save someone dear to Calista. With Calista's old attitude and no longer allowing herself to be lied to or manipulated by the man she loves, she finds out the truth rather quickly. During their mission in the Underworld, Calista learns more about Rumpelstiltskin and Milah's past along with being reunited with someone she thought she'd never see again. Will Calista and the heroes save their friend from the Underworld and its ruler?
