Kyra Kenobi was searching for a Mandalorian. Din Djarin was searching for a Jedi. Until they found each other. 

The daughter of Obi-Wan and Satine has run from her past since the fall of Mandalore, the last and only living Mandalorian Jedi. 

Little does she expect to find herself falling for a Mandalorian bounty hunter after the betrayal she suffered at the hands of Boba Fett, and Din doesn't expect to find himself falling for the Rebel hero and heir to Mandalore, one of the last Jedi in the galaxy. 

A dangerous combination. 

As Din brings her on a collision course with Moff Gideon and the Darksaber, she is forced to face her fate as the heir to Mandalore while Din is forced to face the truth of his creed.

In the second, he saved a child from cruelty and an Empire. In the third, someone latched onto this life of save or be saved and defied it all. He met her once and never wished to again. She was a healer he'd never seen heal, a creature of sight that saw far too much, and the most frustrating person he'd ever met. But she found him again. She forced her way into his life and there she stayed. Din Djarin didn't like not understanding things and he didn't like not understanding people. He would never understand her. [Star Wars] The Mandalorian Season Three Rewrite by Alphaeus_Sune

As a huge fan of the first two seasons of the Mandalorian, I found the more recent third season to be lackluster and disappointing for a few important reasons. While I like the focus on Mandalore, the story forgot to focus on Din Djarin and reunited him with Grogu in between seasons, which is both confusing for casual viewers and makes the season two finale null and void. Where the original season three felt directionless at times, this Din Djarin focused season will take place after both rewrites of the Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka series, however it is not mandatory to read either to understand this season (first two season of Mando OG) The first chapter will take elements of the original BOBF's 'Mando episodes' as well as add a new element at the end, and as a reminder, these chapters will not be very 'fanfiction like' as I have kept as much of the original plot as I can the same while improving what I consider flaws and I give all credit to the original series for most if not all the ideas shown. Lastly, while I like seeing Mando and Grogu together, I think it's important to give characters arcs to grow on, so I hope you enjoy what I have in mind for a third season rewrite, and please share your thoughts as it comes together!

An AU where Darth Vader found out he had a son, intercepted Obi-Wan on his way to Tatooine, and took Luke. To keep him safe from the Emperor, he hid him away on Arvala-7, where years later Din Djarin would land to collect a bounty on a 50-year-old child. Having never seen the galaxy except for what was visible from his singular window, Luke decides to go with the Mandalorian when he leaves. Specific story warnings at the beginnings of each chapter, but the biggest one is an ongoing theme of overcoming child abuse (though it is not explicit and not talked about often past the first couple of chapters) so I would like to share some resources: Abuse of any kind is never okay.
