His only friends live thousands of miles away, and have no idea about his abilities. They just think he's a normal post-teen. Not even Tommy's adoptive family knows about it. You'll find out more about them when you read. Some of Tommy's friends invite him to a meetup. He goes, but decides to keep his abilities a secret. That's not something that's hard to keep from people, right? That's what Tommy figured, but when animals keep approaching him when he's out with his friends, they start to wonder why.
