Brianna Jules has to be the unluckiest teenager in the entire universe. People constantly make fun of her and no one wants to be associated with her because of her constantly bad luck. She's known as the black cat because of this.

But that changes when she bumps into Gabriel Hills, the charmer and the luckiest
guy. He's that kind of person that walks on the street and finds a hundred dollar bill on the ground. He has a reputation for being everyone's friend and every teacher's favorite, which makes him popular.

Gabriel and Brianna become friends and the chaotic mixture of good luck and bad luck is unleashed to the world.

They say polar opposites attract but let's see how much.

What's worse than an all-boys high school? An all-boys boarding school for delinquents. Lukas Mai is an outsider. With his above-average looks and athletic talent, he should have an easy ride-but his terrible grades, worse attitude, and foreign roots make him an easy target. To avoid drawing attention, Lukas keeps his head down and his mouth shut, earning himself exactly zero friends. After one fight too many, his parents ship him off to Whittiker, an all-boys boarding school infamous for housing hot-headed troublemakers. Lukas's plan is simple: lay low, avoid conflict, and get out as quickly as possible. But trouble has a way of finding him, and soon the entire school turns against him. He has very few allies, the most unexpected of them is his roommate, Christian Alvey: the quiet, brooding boy everyone fears and whispers about. Christian is dangerous, unsettling, and far more complicated than the rumors suggest. As Lukas gets drawn deeper into Whittiker's world and closer to Christian, he realizes that the line between friend and something more is growing dangerously thin. Now Lukas must navigate rumors, rivalries, and the dark secrets lurking in Whittiker's halls... without losing himself or the one person he can't seem to stay away from.
