But they are farther apart than the Sun and Earth. Their paths haven't crossed since then...and it seems like, they will never cross again. But some people just wouldn't let it end there. Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014) by emmernemmer

This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.

Though Sue tells Georgia stories about how seeing the white reindeer is a lucky event, Georgia is skeptical. She doesn't feel very lucky. Not only is she stranded and snowed in, but she's also stuck in the presence of Sue's surly son, Felix Nissen. But despite her distaste for the holidays, Georgia has to admit there's something special about the Christmas tree farm--almost magical. Maybe the reindeer brought her more than luck...
