Amara Mazoku and Akuma Nariko hated each other when they first met in junior high. They were total opposites from one another. Both girls had troubling pasts, as both of their mothers were in their coffins at young ages. But the one thing they could agree on was volleyball, and through this sport, they soon realized that they were more alike than they ever imagined. The girls were platonic soul-mates. In this story, based on the authors, Amara and Akuma go through a roller-coaster of emotions when they find out they that they were moving away from one another. Amara was to attend Fukuordani, but she ended up moving once again to the Miyagi prefecture. Where she was to attend Karasuno High, and Akuma was to attend Inarizaki High in Hyogo, where each of them meet their other half.
