Harry Potter's life has never been easy. In his short almost-eighteen years of life, Harry has survived an abusive childhood, a weighty destiny, fame, death threats, betrayal, enslavement, procrastinated-on homework, and an entire full-blown war.
is left to deal with his rocky past, and try to come to terms with what he's been through. Right when things were supposed to calm down, Harry is thrown yet another curve ball. Once again Harry is faced with a real threat of dying. Harry is stuck with a person he can't ever leave, that he never asked for, nor wanted. He just wanted some time to figure himself out, without anything too exciting going on. Now he has this person he can't get rid of.

Draco Malfoy has a mission. It very well might kill him. If he fails, his mother's life is the price. Can Draco complete his mission? Or will he die trying? What happens when his plans are severely complicated by the presence of a new person in his life, who won't-can't-leave him alone?

This is a slowburn boy x boy story. It is not one of those inheritance stories where Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, sworn rivals, go from hating each other, to absolutely in love and inseparable, in the span of one paragraph. It's a story of two boys who have been through too much, and have been unwillingly thrown together by fate. It is a story of understanding first who you are, and then who another is, as a person. It is a story of coming to terms with pasts, and mutual healing. It is a story of two boys destined to be together, who figure out why.

~Drarry~ "Then why did you leave?" Draco couldn't help but ask and a look of surprise flashed on his face when he saw sadness take over Harry's green eyes. "Sometimes," the raven said, searching his next words very carefully. "life is cruel. And you need to get away from it." his answer was vague and it held many meanings behind it that Draco couldn't grasp. "From it? Or from me?" Draco spat, anger lacing his tone as he understood his words wrong. Harry sighed, reaching up and cradling the blond's face in his hands, making him look up at the raven. Suddenly he didn't look so angry. Nobody had ever held Draco with such care. He didn't like how it was making him feel at all. "You don't get it, darling." he said quietly, seeing the blond's eyes searching his own to get a read of his emotions as he spoke. "I got away from a cruel life, yes, but I didn't get away from you." he said, his voice now dropping into a whisper as he pressed their foreheads together. Draco's heart hammered in his chest. "I found you." And with that he left, leaving a stunned and very much confused Draco still pressed against the wall as he wondered what the hell did that even mean.
