My peace is interrupted by Brent's voice, "What the fuck" I ignore him at first but then I register the emotion in his voice. He sounds confused and scared.
Looking over at him he's not even looking at me, just staring forward in disbelief. Confused, I follow his gaze. That's when I see it.
A thick white fog is emerging through the tree, fast. I can't see anything past it, like a blank abyss. My panic starts to rise as we both just stand there completely shocked and immobile.
