I decided to write this fanfic because the character of Start-up's Han Ji Pyeong has pulled my heartstrings so hard. Both Han Ji Pyeong (the character) and Kim Seon-ho (the actor) feel like Terry Grandchester - my most favorite childhood character in the much-loved Japanese manga "Candy Candy" by Mizuki - coming alive and stepping out from the book. Both Terry and Ji Peyong are vulnerable, always longing for love and try to hide their emotional pains behind an arrogant shield. They both chose to love in silence, accept misunderstandings and rather sacrifice their own happiness than hurting the girls they loved. Kim Seon-ho, similar to Terry, has a passionate love for the theatre world. Seon-ho himself shows a hint of vulnerability behind his radiant smile and his irresistible charm. Thank you Seon-ho! You finally help me to meet Terry in real life.

This fanfic is developed from episode 10 of the Korean series Start-up as well as many elements from Candy Candy - the final story.
