"He stood alone on the beach, the others were nowhere in sight. He stared out into the ocean, clutching his head with his hands. He looked like a mad- man. He hadn't noticed her yet. "JJ", Brooke managed to whimper, even though the small action made her gasp with pain. She tried to stand but collapsed onto the sand. JJ saw her then, eyes wide with shook. "Brooke!!!!" He screamed, He dropped the gun and rushed towards her, pulling her into his strong arms. She held onto him with all her might, willing to never let go. What a mess they were in now...... Had the gold really been worth it? Were they going to go down the same path as John B's dad? She felt the boy tremble just as much as her. Brooke began to sob then, knowing right then and there that nothing would ever be the same again. "
