After Shuichi watches a girl he believed to be his closest friend get executed, it seems like all he cared for had been lost. Yet, Shuichi is soon offered a deal by the mastermind as a motive. Should he choose to go along with the offer, he must kill the person of the mastermind's choice within one week, and only then will he be able to restart and have Kaede back at his side. Unsure about the excepting the motive, he is informed who he must kill. Kokichi Ouma. Will he be willing to kill his rival to regain his friend, or will something unexpected change?
‼️This is in no way a Saimatsu book, and I don't personally ship Saimatsu. In this book their friendship is completely platonic. Of course, if you do ship them that's completely ok, and I respect your ship!‼️
💕The relationship between Kokichi and Shuichi in this book is NOT toxic, but I must say it is pretty angsty...💕

(First book of the trilogy) Kokichi, a kind, extroverted boy, moved out to a new city and dropped out in a new school: Spring Field Academy, he quickly made friends here and became one of the popular students, but soon after a few weeks, he notices that one of his classmates is left out from everybody else. Kokichi never saw that boy speak to anyone, neither did he hear him talk in the first place, so of course he decided to try and befriend this lonely boy.
