Lifen is the ignored first miss of Wang household. After her mother died inexplicably, her father no longer wanted anything to do with her. But being ignored means you can get away with a whole lot more. Careful and smart, she disguises herself as a man to discover what really happened to her mother through a local bureau of investigation. 
  All she has  as a link to her mother is one part of a hair ornament, the other of which she gave away to a  mysterious boy she met years ago. Just as she's  close to finding some real answers, a strange Captain pops into the picture and figures out shes a woman. Seeing the talent she possesses, he uses her identity as leverage to  have her help him with several more  cases, some of which are deadly. But the captain has some secrets of his own. and what if one of the crime fighters falls for the  other?
   This romance/mystery book was something I made after reading so many Chinese novels and watching Chinese dramas so if you find a similarity to a show you watched or a book you read then you're probably right. I do not mean to discredit the works I took some ideas and scenarios from I just really liked them and to be honest this book is mostly for my enjoyment purposes. Anyway, hope you like this book !
