After losing everything since doomsday, you struggled to survive on the fortnite island, barely feeding yourself with the few floppers and small frys you managed to catch. Your home had been flooded and you were forced to camp in Weeping Woods. After barely making it out of the battle with Galactus alive, you find yourself in a newer environment, an island that you are definitely not used to. A man named Deadfire finds you dehydrated in the desert and rescues you. To repay him for his hospitality you go bounty hunting for him. You did your job well enough, but things get interesting when your next bounty is the suspected cult leader known as Tomatohead.

And Midas, with John Jones' surprisingly helpful information, may finally figure out where exactly his young friend truly comes from. And convince the I.O agent that maybe the island isn't as bad as Slone says it is. But the real question is... Here's a summary: Ever since the Herald and the chrome appeared on the island, major catastrophe has been threatening the Loopers, the Island, and quite possibly, all of reality itself. Y/N, Jones, AMIE, and Paradigm have been trying to figure out how they can stop this madness and rescue the Seven before it's too late. All of this has been affecting Y/N in many ways, and stress is definitely one of those effects. After the group decides to lay low for a bit before they're able to receive new information from Paradigm, Y/N decides to go to Rave Cave to try to somewhat ease themselves from this madness. This is where they meet Meow Skulls, a humanoid calico cat, and start to grow a friendship together, and something more later on... Midas was born with a curse: The Golden Touch. Everything he touched turned to gold. He never knew why the gods even gave him the curse in the first place, but now, all he can do to keep himself from destructing the world and causing chaos with his abilities is to hide from the world and remain anonymous. There was a way to control his power, but his stress and anxiety keep him from being able to. As a result, all his life he has remained isolated from the world, with no one else except for the gods to guide him throughout life and his daughter, Skye. Then, one day, he goes out into society and accidentally exposes himself in front of everyone. Now, the people know who he is and what he is capable of, and start hunting him down. Many think all he can do now is hide and run, but hopefully he will be able to fully escape this mess and turn things back to the perfect way they were before. This story is honestly become a corrupted/inaccurate portrayal of my headcannons for the characters (don't get me wrong, this was still a pleasure to write), so attached at the end of this book is a chapter called Character Insights/Headcannons that I honestly recommend reading more as it is a non regretful version of this fiction I made that I love.
