Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014)
This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Ok so I gave up on the description for this story but it's at least something- Tord comes back from the Army to see his "old friends" again. Of course, Tom is suspicious of him, cuz leaving for 9 years then coming back all of a sudden. Like what the hell? Aspirations were creatures created by the gods to keep humans entertained and happy. Humans would no longer need the gods for deeds; Aspirations could do them. But what happens when a certain mortal goes looking for a particular Aspiration and ends up in a web of disaster? And what happens when the dark and destructive past of that Aspiration breaks from its cage and seeks revenge? This is my first time sharing a story I've created so I hope you all enjoy! I also draw a lot so some of the chapter pictures are done by me to give some visuals of the characters. It's a little bit of a slow start but gets really chaotic toward the end.
